Dr. Ravi Shankar finished his Ph.D. from AcSIR (at CSIR-NGRI) in 2017, followed by 11 month stay as Project Scientist-B at N.C.E.S.S., Trivandrum. Dr. Shankar's research interest is understanding geodynamic conditions responsible for the repeated disintegration and amalgamation of Proterozoic/Archean supercontinents/Supercratons. Dr. Shankar uses Pb-Pb Geochronology, Geochemistry, and Paleomagnetism to understand these.
Research Interest:
Geodynamics and Metallogeny of parts of the East Indian Shield with specific reference to Diamond, Iron Ore, and Chromitite-PGE occurrences (GeoMet) (MLP-0002-28-FBR-2)
